From time to time we would get passengers from Boise.  Here is a very well known Boisean on one of my
ships. ........ with Captain Miskis - one of my favorite Captains.
I live in a coastal little town in Thailand......... which is a long way from Boise, Idaho where I was born and raised. I got here taking the long scenic route, stopping to take photos in many parts of the world over many years.

My fascination with photography began in my college years.  I worked at a CBS affiliated television station where the station owner encouraged me to use the newsroom darkroom and all of the film I could take.

Later, on the big passenger ships, I always tried to befriend the ship photographers in hopes of access to the darkroom.

How times have changed ! ! !  We now do our "developing" in the computer.  Expensive film has given way to highly accurate and reliable digital. With my Canon Pro Printer, I can print photos that would rival any coming out of an expensive color lab.  I do not and will not use Photoshop.  I rely on my skills as a photographer, dealing with light and colors and depth of fields.

Thailand in an incredibly target rich environment for photography.  I love to play with light and backgrounds. One picture can have MANY different backgrounds.......... it all depends on how you look at it and which angle
you choose before snapping the picture.

I am still searching and hoping to find that "perfect" photo.
Hope you have enjoyed my searches so far.
